The Bank Sale

On August 23 and 24, 2015, Clear Essence Cosmetics set-up shop at one of the hottest up-and-coming urban streetwear expo’s in Southern California—The Bank Sale. With close to a hundred local brands coming from the epicenter of urban streetwear culture to set up shop for a weekend in the Anaheim Convention Center, it’s no mystery as to why over a thousand people piled in to see what was in store; including Clear Essence Cosmetics.

Being surrounded by booths filled with popular brands, we at Clear Essence Cosmetics knew that we would have to do something big to attract attention towards us; especially since we were the only skincare company there. In preparation for our big event, we knew that we were being faced by an unordinary audience; one that is mostly male, and one that is surrounded by the idea of being clean-cut. This information led to one conclusion: The Bank Sale is perfect to advertise our Chimere Series for Men. So in order to show off the Chimere Series, Clear Essence brought out highly-accredited barbers from two of the most well-rated barbershops in the Inland Empire, California, Shaves and Fades and Obie’s Barbershop. A free line-up or straightedge razor shave, using the Chimere Shave Gel and After Shave, was given to attendees at the show.

With an open invitation to every attendee to get a free shave, the Clear Essence Cosmetics booth became a hot spot at the convention. Not only were we able to advertise and sell the Chimere Series, but we were also able to advertise and sell every other product line we have. And as a way to top off two days of great business, The Bank Sale brought out two famous artists, RJ and DJ IAMSU!, to entertain the crowd. The Bank Sale was a great experience for both us and our customers, and we can’t wait to attend next year! We hope to see you there!

The event took place May 2-3, 2014 with the theme “Harnessing Culture for Competitive Advantage” at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel in Atlanta, GA.

The annual goal of F.A.C.E. was to make Nigeria a more prosperous tourist destination and promote the culture that resides in the history and present day environment of the country. The festival's main objectives are to foster intercultural relationships, promote cultural ties and multiculturalism, attract foreign investment, create employment opportunities, accelerate rural and urban integration and strengthen the economic engagement by creating mutual trade relationships.
The conference provided networking events, educational programs, presentations and cultural displays and exhibits. There were also celebrities present along with live performances during the award ceremony. Overall it was a fulfilling weekend that revealed the vast potential of Nigeria and other African countries.
